Welcome
to our Website!
The Barbershoppers
of Baton Rouge welcome you to our chapter website. We are Louisiana's premier ranked a cappella
men's chorus. Our Mission
is "to create an environment in which men with the ability and desire to
sing can make quality music together." Our group consists of men of all
ages and backgrounds, including high school students, who have made this
joyful and rich music a hobby that can last a lifetime. Barbershop harmony is
one of the few musical forms that originated in the United States.
Invitation
for Men to Come and Sing
If you
have singing ability and enjoy singing with other men, now is a great time to
check us out and see if you would like
to "come on board" the Showboat Chorus. If you would like to attend a
rehearsal to sing or just to listen, you can find us most Tuesday evenings
(even during the summer) at 7:00 pm at the Louisiana State University
Campus in Baton Rouge
at Julian C. Miller Hall - Room 134. The building is located at the corner of
Highland and South Stadium Drive, right across Highland from the
Parker Coliseum parking lot. (directions)
